XZone Participation Policy:
All students participating in XZone programs/events must be fully cleared to participate. Required elements for participation:
Permission form filled out by a parent/guardian for the relevant XZone program/event
Copy of parent/guardian’s ID sent to xzoneonline@ljpres.org or turned in to the church office (Lizzet Fitz),
Student medical form on file (valid for one year).
XZone Behavior & Conduct Expectations:
At all XZone programs, events and trips we expect our staff, volunteer leaders, and students to uphold our values of safety and respect. If our staff feels a student has said or done something that violates these values, we will remove the student from the activity. An immediate parent/guardian phone-call will occur, and we may ask the parent/guardian to come pick up their child before the activity’s scheduled conclusion. In some circumstances, we may ask that your child takes a one-week break from programs before returning to XZone. Please talk with your child about our expectations for behavior and conduct!
All students should keep their hands and feet to themselves at all times. We have a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate contact.
One seat per person. No lap-sitting or sharing seats.
No hate-speech or slurs of any kind. We have a zero-tolerance for any form of bullying.
Do not spend unnecessary time in our restrooms. Use restrooms when needed, then promptly re-join the program.
Phones are collected and stored safely in the phone-zone.
Practice mutual-respect. Our staff and volunteers care for you; please respect their instruction and leadership.
XZone Policy for Medications and Health-Related Equipment:
Preparing your child’s medication for XZone camp:
Medications includes pills, liquids, powders and creams that are swallowed or applied, or inhaled. This includes but is not limited to: vitamins, supplements, cough drops, pain medication, insulin, epi pens.
All medications must be in the original, store-bought container with the original dosage information (over the counter medications) or pharmacy prescription label (prescription medications). No SMTWTFS organizers, plastic bags with loose pills, or inhalers without a label.
WE WILL ADMINSTER MEDICATION EXCATLY AS IT IS PRINTED ON THE MEDICATION LABEL. Your child’s age must be within the bottle’s age/direction. We cannot use a parent note for altered dosages/frequency: please make arrangements to get an official doctor’s note or re-printed pharmacy label reflecting the correct dose.
Packaging your child’s medication for XZone camp:
Print and fill out the “Daily Traveling Medication Form” or As Needed Traveling Medication Form for your child. If you are not sending medication with your child to camp, you do not need to print this form.
Please pack your child’s medication(s) and the appropriate “Traveling Medications Form” in a clear, plastic Ziploc gallon-size bag. Bring this Ziploc bag (do not pack it in your luggage) to camp check-in so our health supervisor can review it.
Additional Information about Medications:
The camp health supervisor/nurse will most likely have first-aid supplies, Tylenol, Advil, Tums, cough drops, cough/cold/fever medication, and anti-nausea medication for motion sickness.
If your child requires a medication that they must keep with them at all times (epi pen, insulin etc.) please alert us prior to camp check-in or at camp check-in so we can make proper documentation and accommodations.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding health and medications, please do not hesitate to contact us!
XZone Scholarship Policy:
We don’t want the cost of camp or an event to be the reason a student cannot attend. Please contact us about scholarships and financial aid.
XZone Refund Policy:
For all paid programs/events/camps:
30+ days prior to the event, a full refund of your payment may be provided.
29 to 15 days prior to the event, a half-refund of your payment may be provided.
